The bible was not explicit in the mention of the precise date of Jesus’ crucifixion. Therefore, it resulted in many schools of thoughts and theories presented by bible scholars. Some would vouch with their lives that Christ died on a Wednesday, some on Thursday but majority, felt that Friday would be more accurate and holy. As for me, it is not an essentially salvation truth to know the exact time, date or year. So, to me it doesn’t matter whether it is good Wednesday, good Thursday or good Friday, really? What matter most to me is that my savior came, died but arose from the grave on the third day. He did all that to pay the ransom for my redemption from sins. That in itself is a good happening!
The beautiful song sung by the Marantha Singers, entitled “Lamb of God” summed up my gratitude and appreciation to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour for His sacrifice at Calvary. I cannot imagine and am even scared to think of what if He did not. But in HIS-STORY, despite the absence of the chronological date of HIS death on the cross, I am certain that He died for me along with millions of believers. Be blessed as we worship Him with this emotional charged song…….
Your only Son, no sin to hide,
But you have sent Him from Your side
To walk upon this guilty sod
And to become the Lamb of God
Oh Lamb of God, sweet Lamb of God,
I love the holy Lamb of God.
O wash me in His precious blood.
My Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.
Your gift of love, they crucified.
They laughed and scorned Him as He died.
The humble King they named a fraud
And sacrificed the Lamb of God.
Oh Lamb of God, sweet Lamb of God,
I love the holy Lamb of God.
O wash me in His precious blood.
My Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.
I was so lost I should have died
But You have brought me to Your side
To be led by Your staff and rod
And to be called a child of God.
Oh Lamb of God, sweet Lamb of God,
I love the holy Lamb of God.
O wash me in His precious blood.
My Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.
