Jesus is Beautiful.

The word beautiful and its rich meaning of beauty have been desecrated of late by charlatan and fake. Once, the use of this word was reserved solely for things, appearances, scenes & etc. that superseded our standard or expected perception. But when it is “wielded on the hands or rather the mouth” of a fraudster, recalcitrant liar and grifter, the essence of the true meaning for this word gradually dissipated into oblivion.

In the bible, there is only one man and God that is worthy and truly deserved that praises for being beautiful. It is none other than our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is indeed beautiful and in the book of the Song of Solomon, chapter 2, verse 1, King Solomon with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit claimed the titles of “A Rose of Sharon, a Lily of the Valley” for his Lord, King Jesus, without any apology. As our creator and savior, HE richly owned that title for being a “Beautiful Person”, unlike that of an unhinged person who recently bragged that if he took his shirt off, the whole world will see a beautiful person within. Nope! What we do see, rather, is the personification of lies, deceptions and delusions that person clothed himself with.

The hymns that we sing when we are in the congregation of God’s people are flooded with songs of praises, exultation and magnification of the beautiful person of Christ. Similarly in various scriptures, there are numerous praises of our Lord Jesus that label Him precious and beautiful.  In Psalm 45, the psalmist cried with conviction, saying, “You are fairer (most handsome) than the sons of men; grace is poured upon your lips.” Here the sons of Korah in this psalm extoled the beauty of our Saviour and therefore, God blessed Him forever.  The beauty of Jesus is undeniably tied to His holiness. His characters are higher, pure and perfect in every aspect, no equivalent can be found on earth. There are none since the beginning of times, nor there ever will be in the future, period. Another aspect of this beauty has to do with the name above all other names that Jesus carries. Isaiah 9, verse 6 tells us of the many wonderful names and titles that are associated with our dear Saviour. He is called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. There are things profoundly stirring and authoritative about the names and titles of Jesus. We can see that throughout the scripture of the almighty names of Jesus that resonated through centuries. At the name of Jesus Christ, chains of oppression and depression are broken and shattered. At the name of Jesus, hearts of sinful men are healed and sicknesses and diseases fled immediately. Finally, with the name of Jesus, the gifts of salvation for all who call on the beautiful name of Jesus are delivered. In the coming future, soon, as we read in Isaiah 33:17, the passage of this scripture offers a vision of the future in which God’s people will see our King Jesus in all His splendor, glory and beauty too. That is why I am convinced what beauty really means, rather than some self-proclaimed belief of a delusional lunatic’s on beauty that is overflowed with vanities and carnality.

There is another attribute in the beauty of our Lord Jesus Christ. Apostle Paul in second Corinthians, mind you, not two Corinthians, really? Paul stated clearly in this epistle that when we, the more we behold His glorious beauty, the more we will become like Him. So if anyone seeking beauty, the answer lies in this passage, the source of beauty. This scripture not only speaks of God’s beauty but the promise of beauty for us when we worship and spend time with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. That is the power of true beauty and appeal that is divine and heavenly. Jesus was from the beginning with God the Father and the Holy Spirit, the Trinity of perfection and holiness created that incomprehensible beauty and aura on the three persons God.

But conversely, if we rather spend time with ungodly company, we will inevitably adopt the filth and stench of ungodliness. The book of Psalm begins with the warning of the danger of bad company. The Psalmist cried out to us saying, “Blessed  is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners  take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.”  Another warning from Apostle Paul in first Corinthians, again not One Corinthians, cautioning us not to be misled: Bad company corrupts good character.” Like some proverbial saying, “If you lie down with strayed dogs (no offence intended to dog’s lovers), you get infested with fleas is a gospel truth statement. So, choose wisely where and who we spend our time to be with or listen to their distorted and delusional carnal falsehoods and lies.

Finally, if you want true beauty and has not heard of the One, the only true source of beauty that originated from heaven, our Lord Jesus Christ, I would love to introduce Him to you. When you meet and accepted the Savior who died for your sins, you will notice some unexplainable changes in your life. Something beautiful and something good happened, all our confusions which He understood will vanish or melt like butter in a hot day, in His true beautiful presence. At that moment, when we give Him our brokenness and strife, something beautiful will transform within us which He promised to make when you reach out to Him for help. Do not be deceived by unhinged, delusional malignant narcissist and eventually, to be ebbed away by the flood of falsehoods into eternal damnation. Consider wisely. Eternity matters!
