Real Man bears the Cross

Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God, Hebrews 12:2.

We are tempted to wonder why the Almighty One, in all greatness and power, not forgetting supreme authority that comes with the role of being a Deity, chose to be a mere mortal subjected to all the infirmities and vulnerabilities that brought about through the fall of Adam. In every aspect, HE had been tempted as we are, being a righteous God embodied and subjugated by flesh, yet without sin. Donald McLeod develops this theory of the pre-incarnate Christ, “he possessed all the majesty of deity, performed all its functions and enjoyed all its prerogatives…He was invulnerable to pain, frustration, and embarrassment. He existed in unclouded serenity. His supremacy was total, his satisfaction complete, and his blessedness perfect.”

So, why would anyone, let alone Jesus Christ, in his right thought and sense of mind, bathed in glory, pomp and splendour, decided to forsake all to become a weak human. For what reason would such a great sacrifice suffices? In John 3:16, it was stated endearingly that God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. So, Love was the motive and eternal salvation for all believing people was the reason. This fact is irrefutable and proven beyond all reasonable doubts in the Holy Bible. Therefore, as a son, an obedient one, He came into this wretched world, to be birthed by a woman, subjected Himself to the frailties of humanity because of His Father’s will and love for us.

Grace came to bridge us with God through the cross. What is His joy that compelled Him to endure such pains and suffering? The faces of us, you and me, redeemed people that can come to His Father through His sacrifices. In 1 Peter 2:24, “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

That was Grace in person, the hallmark of a Real Man! Having canceled the charge of our legal (which is the Law of Moses or the Ten Commandments) indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross as stated in Colossians 2:14. What can a man that wears diaper do for his blinded cultish followers, let alone for humanity ? NOTHING!

Like the Israel of old, as Apostle Paul summed up his thought that his Jewish people is in a spiritual slumber or blindness not to realize the visitation of their God, our Lord Jesus Christ. Similarly, the cult followers of the man that wears diaper, with all their good intentions with regards to the Word of God and beliefs, are in a state of stupor too. They cannot differentiate between good from evil, the true God and an evil person in delusion that he is the chosen one. Despite the iniquitous and depravity of their leader, they rationalized that God does uses wicked men to carry out HIS Almighty plan, therefore, thinking their cult leader is of the Lord’s.  Mistakenly, when God uses wicked men to carry out His plan in the whole course of human’s history, it cannot assume that God approves their wickedness nor is favorable of their atrocities. Perhaps, Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things (both good and evil) work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”  is the essence of the truth of God using evil men in HIS plan.
