Phew! What a night to remember! Watching Liverpool pursuing their 43th trophy for the display shelf. It was a nerve wracking game to watch. I cannot say, ” I told you so”. We will definitely win. It was not that way.
Everybody would have thought that it should be a stroll in the park with Chelsea, a team who lost 4 nil to Man United recently. Who would have blame you if you did. We struggled under the extreme weather and physically demanding conditions. At time, we seemed lost until Firmino came in as a substitute in the second half. Situation improved. We were playing like Liverpool again.
I was literally curved up on my sofa, chewing and gnawing away nervously at my nails. The duration of play time was agonizing. We were roller-coasting up and down. When Mane scored the second goal, we thought we had it wrapped up till Adrian gave away a penalty. Then, came the draw at the end of 120th minutes. Going into penalty brought out an ominous presence of Deja Vu. Is it going to be similar fate to the loss we experienced on 4 August 2019. I was paralyzed by fear and that luck was certainly against us. If Adrian had not saved the last penalty, I would have completely done with my toes nails and gone nut.
Goodness gracious which he did. Very entertaining indeed but took its toil on my nerves. In the end, Liverpool won. That’s all that matters, right kopites? Yea, there will always be oppositions and expert views’ of foul play, bad VAR, etc. We cannot please everyone, certainly not our opponents. Lifting the trophy by Jordan Henderson on this occasion celebrated our joy and belief of all kopites that good things are happening to our beloved Liverpool!
Never Give Up! Never Gonna Stop! Most importantly, You’ll Never Walk Alone, Liverpool! All kopites, wherever we may be on the face of this earth. you can be sure that you have all our supports and love. Rumble on, there are five more trophies for the taking this season.
Time to go back to the drawing board to work on more creatives on our recent successes.
Cheers!
